Using a variety of resources and databases, we can create a 4-generation family tree tracing your ancestry back to your great-grandparents. Along with the family tree, documents and a written report will also be provided.

You’ve been doing research for awhile, but sometimes you reach a point you need help. We can take your research problem and attempt to find a solution. After knowing what you have already tried, we can conduct a search through other records that may provide an answer to your brick wall question. We will provide a written report covering all records researched and conclusions reached.

If you would like to continue researching your family history yourself, but would like help interpreting records or ideas of where to look next, we can meet for one hour over Zoom to discuss next steps for your research. We will follow-up with an email summarizing what we talked about and what your next steps can be.

If you have recently taken a DNA test and want to know where your matches fit in to your family tree, we can help! Using your DNA matches and research, we can attempt to place your closest DNA matches within your family tree, or make a connection you didn’t know about before.

If you’re looking for a record lookup in any Central Ohio depository, we are able to travel to Ohio History Connection, Columbus Metropolitan Library, and more! Record retrieval projects have a minimum of one hour of billable time. Travel to any location outside of Franklin County will be charged mileage at the federal rate.

If you have any other Ohio related genealogy or local history project, please contact us to discuss it. Our hourly rate is $50, with a ten hour minimum for projects other than record retrieval. We can use our experience as a librarian to find the records you need.
